I am the child of a German immigrant and I grew up in a little town that had a German store. My house was filled with German goodies all the time, some home made, and some bought put a core memory was always the dense delicious German bread, and the fluffy crusty buns and the seeds rolls. When I moved away, I never found a market like that again, and frankly I'm a terrible baker! I craved those breads for years!! Ironically, my daughter ended up marrying a German and lives there now. Whenever I visit I devour as much brot as i can. When I saw the ad for The Brot Box I got so excited. My husband bought me a little freezer just for my deliveries and I call it Mein kalter kleiner brotkasten! :) I LOVE THIS BREAD!!! I bought the large box sampler because I wanted to taste everything! Its absolutely delicious! The only product I would not order again is the pretzels. To me they do not have the authentic texture and flavor I was hoping for and like so many other people said, they arrived broken. They are not worth the money. I haven't tried the pretzel buns yet and I hope they don't taste the same! I will definitely order again, I will just select my favorites!

All of the bread and rolls are so fresh! I haven't gotten through everything in the box yet because there are so many things to try, but I love that they can be frozen so they will last for quite a while. You can definitely tell the ingredients are high quality, which can be hard to find in the US. I look forward to trying some of the other breads they offer once I get through this batch!

We lived in Germany for 6 years and since we’ve moved back to the states, we’ve really missed German bakeries and the bread. We thought the Lidl and Aldi’s in the US would be similar to the German bakery, close but no cigar, we think it’s the traditional European ingredients and lack of a million additives that makes Brot Box bread so delicious. It really is like being in Stuttgart and going to in our local Sehne or other local German bakery and picking up warm rolls in the morning, better yet I can recreate some of our favorite sandwiches from the bakery.

The only issue I encountered was with the packaging. While the product was packed well and arrived at the right temperature, the box itself was squished, likely from heavier items being stacked on top of it. I recommend adding a "Do not stack heavy items on this box" label to prevent this in the future.

Folks, I was skeptical at first to buy bread online to bake in the oven. We got the package which was seriously well protected like it is a crown jewel. Well, that is what they are. . My Korean wife is a very picky eater. The seed bread the other loaves she said were a great idea. The taste is superb and I will be a return customer for life.

I love having access to pretty authentic German bread here in the states. I think sometimes I should just get $100 worth of Brötchen sent every two weeks. The quality of the bread is excellent. As soon as I get it I put it in the freezer and then take out the loaves as I want them, and none of it goes to waste. Next Best thing to being there.

Also the box it came in while super to recycle, there was a flap missing from the bottom of the box & re-taped and thankful it didn't fall through.

Our shipment was supposed to arrive before 7:00 pm. We went to bed at 10:00 pm. The shipment didn’t arrive till sometime after 10:00 pm. The next morning I found the shipment by our gate, 10 hours late, the products were warm as the freeze pacs had thawed. I feel the courier should be responsible for the late delivery but probably won’t.
