Our family loved the plain rolls! They were crispy outside but not too hard. Just perfect.
I have to say that I was disappointed to see additives in the pumpkin seed rolls, especially that are harmful (mono-and diglycerides of fatty acids). Please revise your ingredients, until then I won’t order them again.

Overall the bread is great. We have enjoyed it and will most likely order again. We sid have one issue...The bag for the 5 pack of round pretzel sandwich rolls was cut and resealed with only 3 rolls in bag with directions cut in have. Don't know if this was an error or theft.

Having grown up in Germany real bread was one thing I always missed here. When the ads for The Bread Box started coming across my Facebook feed I was intrigued and my husband encouraged me to just order the big box and give everything a try. I was especially excited to see the Pita bread. I hope it stays permanently. We have not tried everything yet, but the things we have tried are absolutely delicious and remind me very much of home. I don't expect to be disappointed in the remaining items to try!

The bread in this box has been the first bread in many years that I have been able to eat without having indigestion an hour after consuming. Yes, I may be sensitive to wheat, but this demonstrates to me that it may not just be me, but perhaps the wheat grown and processed in America. Bread is supposed to be "the staff of life." From the field to the table American wheat is so highly processed that, IMHO, it barely exhibits its own cultural characteristics. Bought the large box for my German father who lives in Florida. Staying with him temporarily are my Uncle and Tante who were flooded out by Hurricane Milton. Of course they were excited about getting this gift. Unfortunately, there was not enough room in the freezer so they had to give some loafs of bread to some (german) friends. They all LOVED the bread and rolls but I have to figure out what I can send quantity wise in the meantime! Small box being ordered next.

The brot was delicious, really love those power rolls low carb. My only complaint is fed ex. Took them 5 days to deliver my order and the items were completely thawed out and the dry ice evaporated. FedEx said 2 days in row my box was out for delivery and when I finally got it had been a total of 5 days. Maybe you should try UPS!!!

This was an early Christmas gift for my German wife. She was so impressed by the German bakery quality of the bread. The rolls we had (potato with carrot and seeds) were crunchy outside and soft as pillows inside. Wonderful!

Coming to US, finding nice bread is challenging. Especially the whole grain options in retail have a -for me- undesired sweetened taste. Brotbox is coming a long way and their rye loaf is very good. Just hope that they will do more whole grain options with different grains. Especially looking for Netherlands style whole wheat.

I am the child of a German immigrant and I grew up in a little town that had a German store. My house was filled with German goodies all the time, some home made, and some bought put a core memory was always the dense delicious German bread, and the fluffy crusty buns and the seeds rolls. When I moved away, I never found a market like that again, and frankly I'm a terrible baker! I craved those breads for years!! Ironically, my daughter ended up marrying a German and lives there now. Whenever I visit I devour as much brot as i can. When I saw the ad for The Brot Box I got so excited. My husband bought me a little freezer just for my deliveries and I call it Mein kalter kleiner brotkasten! :) I LOVE THIS BREAD!!! I bought the large box sampler because I wanted to taste everything! Its absolutely delicious! The only product I would not order again is the pretzels. To me they do not have the authentic texture and flavor I was hoping for and like so many other people said, they arrived broken. They are not worth the money. I haven't tried the pretzel buns yet and I hope they don't taste the same! I will definitely order again, I will just select my favorites!

All of the bread and rolls are so fresh! I haven't gotten through everything in the box yet because there are so many things to try, but I love that they can be frozen so they will last for quite a while. You can definitely tell the ingredients are high quality, which can be hard to find in the US. I look forward to trying some of the other breads they offer once I get through this batch!
