Everything tastes wonderfully. Thawing the loaves is a bit inconvenient but I understand why it’s necessary. One negative is the pretzels came broken. All in all it’s tasty and authentic and I’ll buy it again.

My daughter volunteered for cultural week, so we ordered the German's favorite large box to bring for the German food table (and extra for us of course!) Wow was this bread incredible. It was a hit at the school, all the students and teachers loved it. We ended up not having any leftovers! Super simple to cook, EVERYTHING was delicious. Definitely recommend making sure the loafs are fully thawed before cooking- we had to put the rye back in the oven for an additional 15 minutes.

The first Bread was the Rey Bread it was good but the dough from the inside separated from the crust ! So it was hard to get slides of bread on the plate! This was definitely disappointing!
The second Bread was better….. and we are looking forward to the other results!

We loved the pretzels, small pretzel loafs and small loafs. They are DELICIOUS! However, the larger loaves have crust so TOUGH you need strong muscles to cut the loaf and you can BREAK A TOOTH trying to chew through it. Awful hard. Decent taste.

We are Germans living in the USA, and are incredibly happy about finding the Brotbox! We ordered the biggest box and haven’t been able to try everything yet, but all items we sampled are authentic in taste. We do believe the bread in Germany is quite a bit firmer in texture though, and we can’t seem to achieve that by baking longer…but we will be ordering again in the future!

As a Scotsman living in the US I have found it difficult to find good bread and also bread that does not affect my stomach. Our family loved the plain rolls! They were crispy outside but not too hard. Just perfect.
I have to say that I was disappointed to see additives in the pumpkin seed rolls, especially that are harmful (mono-and diglycerides of fatty acids). Please revise your ingredients, until then I won’t order them again.

Overall the bread is great. We have enjoyed it and will most likely order again. We sid have one issue...The bag for the 5 pack of round pretzel sandwich rolls was cut and resealed with only 3 rolls in bag with directions cut in have. Don't know if this was an error or theft.

Having grown up in Germany real bread was one thing I always missed here. When the ads for The Bread Box started coming across my Facebook feed I was intrigued and my husband encouraged me to just order the big box and give everything a try. I was especially excited to see the Pita bread. I hope it stays permanently. We have not tried everything yet, but the things we have tried are absolutely delicious and remind me very much of home. I don't expect to be disappointed in the remaining items to try!

The bread in this box has been the first bread in many years that I have been able to eat without having indigestion an hour after consuming. Yes, I may be sensitive to wheat, but this demonstrates to me that it may not just be me, but perhaps the wheat grown and processed in America. Bread is supposed to be "the staff of life." From the field to the table American wheat is so highly processed that, IMHO, it barely exhibits its own cultural characteristics. Bought the large box for my German father who lives in Florida. Staying with him temporarily are my Uncle and Tante who were flooded out by Hurricane Milton. Of course they were excited about getting this gift. Unfortunately, there was not enough room in the freezer so they had to give some loafs of bread to some (german) friends. They all LOVED the bread and rolls but I have to figure out what I can send quantity wise in the meantime! Small box being ordered next.
