The Brot Box ships from Indiana (IN) and Northern California (CA).
2. When do orders ship and how long does shipping take?
Orders ship Monday to Wednesday. Orders with 2- or 3-day-shipping, that are placed on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday will move into the next week’s shipping window. The transit time for delivery is 1-3 days depending on customers location.
3. Which carrier is used for shipping?
We use the ground service of FedEx, OnTrac and local carriers.
4. How do orders ship?
During hot summer season orders are shipped insulated (NOT FROZEN) with ice packs and insulated liner. We provide this service to extend the freshness and be prepared for any carrier delays.
5. How to handle products upon arrival?
Products should be checked and placed in the freezer upon arrival to keep the shelf life up to 6 months, since The Brot Box products don’t contain any preservatives.

It’s one of my favorite breads from the BrotBox! I can eat it plain, with butter, or with Nutella! So good! It reminds me of living in Germany, this type of bread is what we ate during the week, leaving white bread only for the weekend. Thank you BrotBox for bringing back childhood memories.

Too bad I didn’t take a pic to post (next time!) As for the bread: just one word: INSANE. I am German and for me this is “home, childhood, die Bäckerei an der Ecke”. My husband is not German, but educated by me in the finer things: he is completely hooked. Finally!!! He said. Real bread!!!!

I am in heaven!!! After 32 years in Oklahoma, I finally discovered The Brot Box. I ordered on a Monday and it arrived on that Thursday! The dry ice bags were cut and bread not frozen anymore but I read on the website it was nothing to be concerned about. Baked the German Loaf right away and it was just like the bread back home!!! For three days it was breakfast, lunch and dinner! It stayed soft the whole time and the aroma!!! I could not stop smelling the bread. I just placed another order! Thank you Brot Box for giving me authentic German bread!!!
I have been to Germany so I know how good the bread is. This was just part of the package I bought my daughter and her husband for Christmas and they said it was the best bread they have eaten. This is a healthier and “cleaner” option than the bread available in the US.

This is my favorite bread. Fresh out of the oven crispy crust and soft on the inside. Put some jam on it for breakfast so good.
Exactly the same bread I used to have in Austria. The whole family is in love with this bread. Strongly recommend it. The Brötchen , Pretzel everything I tried tasted excellent.
Absolutely delicious with no tummy upset. My oven ran hot so next time I’ll lower the temp and perhaps cut several minutes from baking time.
Entlich!!! At last!! The PERFECT rye loaf! The shape is different from what I grew up with (large rounds of Bauernbrot), but the flavor? Absolut perfekt. Every bite transports me to my Oma's kitchen. Sauerrahm (cultured) butter, marmalade or speadable cheese. Yum! My husband never had the experience until now - it's his favorite too. I made some like my mama did - slice of bread, butter and slices of fresh tomato from the garden. A little salt and we were in Brot heaven. I love all the breads from The Brot Box, but this German Country Loaf is a forever keeper. Thank you for making this little, old German lady so very, very happy.

Our family recently returned from Germany to visit relatives. We couldn't get enough of the delicious brotchen. I found The Brot Box online and thought we should give it a try. It tasted just like the German bread we so enjoyed in Germany. We followed the instructions on the package and it turned out wonderfully.

I cannot believe that I can have the bread I loved so much at home in Germany right here in America! All the breads and Brötchen of the “Brotbox” array of products taste very good, but this one is truly special. The German Country Loaf- das Landbrot- is incredibly good and tastes exactly like the bread I know from home. I baked one loaf right after my bread box arrived. I enjoyed it with butter plus I had apple slices along with it. A simple but delicious meal. Real german bread, made from natural, high quality ingredients. It truly has the comforting taste like you can read it in the description. It’s like sitting at Mama’s kitchen table at home. It’s perfect for a Vesper or an in between snack, with cold cut, cheese, vegetable spreads, butter or you enjoy just a plain slice. Whatever you prefer - you will not be disappointed, try it. I sure hope that “The Brotbox” will add the German Country Bread as a permanent product to its variety. Thank you Brotbox, thank you very much, for giving me this opportunity!
